It’s been a while since I’ve discussed my latest design obsession, so today I will be talking about a favorite trend of mine, artwork in the kitchen. I absolutely love this concept because it’s a great way to add your own personal style into your kitchen. Many people have beautiful kitchens but they lack a personal touch that tells you about the people who live there and their interests. Kitchens are one of my favorite spaces to accessorize because you can add some unexpected character pieces that help to make the area look finished. I love seeing the contrast of an antique cutting board or the soft colors of a vintage painting up against a clean white kitchen. These pieces are perfectly displayed tucked into shelving or hung on a focal wall. The best part is you can switch these accessories in and out easily so you aren’t committing to a long term color palette or style. I recently started collecting vintage paintings and you can find so many amazing original works of art in thrift stores and flea markets for very reasonable prices. Tell me in the comments below, what do you think about integrating artwork into your kitchen?
